April 26 (SeeNews) - All four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) fell on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX shedding 0.11% to 609.40 points, bourse data show.
SOFIX was held back by fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH], which dropped by 4.81% to 35.60 levs, and diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH], which slipped by 1.60% to 7.38 levs.
Neochim and Doverie United Holding also pressed the broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Both indices were further dragged down by a 2.56% loss at investment firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] to 19.00 levs.
Overall, the BGBX40 ticked down by 0.14% to 140.13 points, while the BGTR30 erased 0.30% to 718.83 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed 0.44% lower at 188.10 points, marking the biggest decline of the day among the four indices. It was hit by a 1.43% drop at Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.44 levs and a 0.90% fall at Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.20 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange soared to 3.58 million levs ($2.02 million/1.83 million euro) on Wednesday from 253,043 levs on Tuesday.
With some 1.97 million shares traded, poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] was the top stock by turnover which came in at 2.86 million levs. Gradus shares closed 1.36% lower at 1.45 levs.
