April 6 (SeeNews) - All indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in the red on Wednesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX index dropping 1.42% to 627.01 points, bourse data showed.
Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR] was the top decliner among SOFIX members, after shedding 3.18% of its price. The holding company closed at 42.60 levs as 25 shares changed hands.
A 5.22% decrease in fertiliser maker Neochim [BUL:NEOH], to 54.50 levs, weighed on the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, under which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGBX40 erased 1.03% of its value and ended at 144.94 points, while the BGTR30 fell 0.82% to 736.07 points.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went down 0.32% to 175.53 points, mainly due to a 0.97% drop in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], to 2.04 levs.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market plummeted to 1 million levs ($558,100/511,300 euro) from a higher than usual turnover of 23.9 million levs on Tuesday.
