May 12 (SeeNews) - Two of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed lower on Friday, with the blue-chip SOFIX shedding 0.33% to 629.36 points, bourse data showed.
SOFIX's performance was mostly held back by First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which erased 4.63% of its value to 2.06 levs. Additionally, fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] fell by 2.31% to 38.10 levs.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, slipped by 0.19% to 189.97 points. The only loser in the index was Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:BREF], which went down by 1.79% to 2.20 levs.
In contrast, the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, grew by 0.04% to 142.88 points. It was pushed upwards by a 6.73% leap in farming group Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH] to 23.80 levs and a 5.41% increase in venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] to 19.50 levs.
Agria Group and Eleven Capital also helped the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, add 0.24% to 731.11 points. The index was further advanced by software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH], which climbed 3.10% to 0.665 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange grew to 854,478 levs ($477,519/436,886 euro) on Friday from 612,152 levs on Thursday.
The top stock by turnover was Agria Group, generating 281,697 levs with 11,836 shares changing hands.
