January 23 (SeeNews) - Two of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed lower on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX losing 0.35% to 615.55 points, bourse data showed.
Sofix was dragged by First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which fell by 1.65% to 2.38 levs. Additionally, diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] decreased by 0.99% to 0.804 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went down by 0.13% to 186.19 points. The only loser was Advance Terrafund [BUL:ATER], which declined by 0.60% to 3.30 levs with 15,287 shares traded. The other six trusts closed at an unchanged price.
On the positive side, the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, grew by 0.03% to 141.65 points. It was boosted by diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], which surged by 7.22% to 9.65 levs. Stara Planina more than offset a 6.16% loss to 2.74 levs at Industrial Capital Holding [BUL:HIKA].
Stara Planina Hold also pushed up the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The index advanced by 0.11% to 743.18 points.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange fell to 410,278 levs ($227,906/209,772 euro) from 578,009 levs on Friday.
The top stock by turnover was investment company Velgraf Asset Management [BUL:VAM], generating 175,376 levs with 38,800 shares traded. The company closed flat at 4.52 levs.
