January 9 (SeeNews) - All four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX index gaining 0.44% to 607.40 points backed by diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] and Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER].
Chimimport, the top gainer in SOFIX, climbed by 3.91% to 0.798 levs. It was followed by Advance Terrafund, which added 2.15% to 3.32 levs with 6,158 shares traded.
Chimimport was also the top gainer in the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight.
BGBX40 was additionally supported by diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], which increased by 3.30% to 9.40 levs, and Advance Terrafund. In contrast, the top loser in the index, diversified group Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria, dropped by 7.06% to 0.16 levs. Additionally, poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] lost 5.37% to 1.41 levs with 10,537 shares traded. Overall, the index closed 0.20% higher at 140.22 points.
BGTR30 advanced by 0.15% to 735.21 points. In addition to Chimimport, the index was supported by Stara Planina Hold and Advance Terrafund.
The REIT was the only gainer in the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts. The index finished trading 0.08% higher at 185.41 points.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market rose to 721,998 levs ($396,664/ 369,152 euro) on Monday from 413,344 levs on Friday.
The top stock by turnover was chemicals supplier Himsnab Bulgaria [BUL:58E], generating 50,888 levs. The stock closed 1.77% higher at 57.50 levs with only 885 shares traded.
