October 28 (SeeNews) - The indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange closed in green territory on Friday, with the blue-chip SOFIX index rising for the fifth straight session in a row, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX rose by 0.35% to 587.80 points as fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] surged by 10.58% to 46 levs after it said earlier in the day its net profit more than quadrupled in the first nine months of 2022. The index was also buoyed by Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which rose by 2.11% to 2.91 levs with 13,061 shares traded.

Neochim and Advance Terrafund also pushed up the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. Additionally, battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] grew by 4.18% to 4.98 levs. Overall, the index gained 0.18% to 136.35 points.
Meanwhile, the BGTR30 index, under which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose by 0.60% to 711.25 points supported by Neochim, Monbat and Advance Terrafund.
Advance Terrafund also bolstered the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts. The index closed 0.32% higher at 177.12 points.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market slumped to 404,635 levs ($205,574/206,886 euro) on Friday from 3.69 million levs on Thursday.
The top stock by turnover was investment firm Neo London Capital [BUL:NLC], which generated 75,600 levs with 400 shares traded. The stock closed flat at 189 levs.
