September 23 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index closed 0.36% higher at 425.11 points on Wednesday, as financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] partially erased losses from the previous trading session.
Eurohold shares rose 6.67% to 1.60 levs on Wednesday, after losing 9.09% in the previous trading day. The BSE did not operate on Tuesday, due to a national holiday.
Poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] was the other major gainer on Wednesday, adding 2.94%.
The only other gainers among blue chips were the two REITs - Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] and Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6]. The two companies added 0.60% and 0.57%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, rose 0.20% to 95.66 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.12% to 472.25 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, increased 0.61% to 134.34 points, backed by the two blue-chip REITs and a 3.94% rise in the share price of Roi Property Fund REIT [BUL:RPR].
Total daily regulated market trading turnover amounted to 446,000 levs ($266,000/228,000 euro).
