January 16 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange closed 0.08% higher at 581.81 points on Thursday, extending a winning streak that began on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
Total daily regulated market turnover added up to some 202,800 levs ($115,500/103,700 euro), down from 1.6 million levs on Wednesday.
The SOFIX was supported by diversified group Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] and financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:0EA], which gained 1.92% and 1.77%, respectively.
The top gainers managed to keep the blue-chip index in green territory, despite a 3.03% drop in the share price of software group Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK].
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, edged up 0.09% to 114.16 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, advanced 0.06% to 525.30 points. Both indices were backed by gains in Industrial Holding Bulgaria and Elana Agrocredit.
The BGREIT, which tracks real estate investment trusts, rose 0.21%, as Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] gained 1.06%. Advance Terrafund REIT closed 1.08% higher on Wednesday.
