February 26 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index traded 0.30% higher at 546.63 points as at 14:00 CET on Wednesday, seeking to end its two-day losing run.
The index's rise by that hour was largely due to the increase in the share price of two heavyweights - drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] and diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4]. Sopharma shares were up 2.42%, while Chimimport shares traded 1.06% higher.
The only other gainer among blue-chips by that hour was poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6], which was up 0.30%.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, traded 0.05% higher at 108.83 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, traded 0.01% up at 499.32 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, traded 0.01% lower at 133.77 points as at 14:00 CET.
Total regulated market turnover by that hour amounted to 251,000 levs.
