April 22 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange's blue-chip SOFIX index fell 0.48% to 519.18 points on Thursday, partially due to a 3.41% drop in the share price of diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH].
Other notable decliners among blue chips included heavyweight drug maker Sopharma [BUL:SFA] and lender First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:FIB], which lost 1.19% and 0.92%, respectively.
Outside blue chips, car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:ELHM] saw its share price soar 27.5% to 0.765 levs after announcing early on Thursday that it turned to a net profit of 377,000 levs in the first quarter of 2021 from a net loss of 123,000 levs in the same period of 2020.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, decreased 0.31% to 117.31 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, slid 0.38% to 563.21 points.
The BGREIT index, which follows the performance of seven real estate investment trusts, rose 0.32% to 145.70 points.
Total trading turnover amounted to 2.1 million levs ($1.3 million/1.1 million euro).
