April 2 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index ended a five-day losing streak after closing 0.97% higher at 421.69 points on Thursday, bourse data shows.
Lender First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] gained most among blue chips, adding 3.89% to 1.87 levs. Diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] and its unit Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] followed with rises of 3.72% and 3.21%, respectively.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.77% to 90.47 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.71% to 435.97 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, rose 0.37% to 125.68 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted to 694,000 levs on Thursday.
