July 12 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index gained a slim 0.06% to 583.78 points on Friday, backed by a 3.13% rise in the share price of diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2].
Earlier on Friday, Holding Varna said that its shareholders have approved the company's plans to skip dividend distribution for 2018.
The other gainers among blue chips on Friday were Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] and Chimimport [BUL:6C4], which added 0.52% and 0.29%, respectively.
On Thursday, Chimimport said that its consolidated net profit excluding minority interest rose to 40.4 million levs in the first quarter of 2019 from 32.4 million levs in the like period of 2018. The company missed the May 31 deadline for publishing its consolidated first-quarter financial statement.
On the losing side, Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] dropped most among SOFIX members - 3.13%.
Holding Varna was also the top gainer among members of the wider BGBX40 index and the equally-weighted BGTR30 index.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the stock exchange in Sofia, edged up 0.05% to 115.32 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost 0.14% to 507.92 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, gained 0.10% to 127.04 points, solely due to the rise in Advance Terrafund REIT's share price.
Total regulated market trading turnover dropped further to 127,000 levs ($73,000/65,000 euro) on Friday from 160,000 levs on Thursday.
