July 21 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchnage (BSE) fell 0.12% to 563.18 points on Wednesday, dragged down by a 2.34% decline in the share price of financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG], bourse data showed.
A total of 10,375 shares in Eurohold traded at an average price of 2.5771 levs on Wednesday. Eurohold was the top gainer among the components of the SOFIX, the BGBX40 and the BGTR30 indices in the previous trading session when its shares added 2.40%.
Turnover on the BSE's main market jumped to 3.5 million levs ($2.1 million/1.8 million euro) on Wednesday from some 1.1 million levs on Tuesday, boosted by trade in the shares of Rodna Zemya Holding [BUL:HRZ].
One million shares in the holding company changed hands flat an average price of 2.6600 levs, generating nearly 2.7 million levs of the daily turnover.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, edged down 0.06% to 123.76 points, reflecting a 6.80% drop in the shares of diversified group Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG].
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, also edged down, by 0.34% to 600.06 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, edged up 0.06% to 157.51 points due to a 1.40% increase in the shares of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF].
