December 4 (SeeNews) - Societe Generale Banka Montenegro said on Thursday it has appointed Milorad Katnic as the new president of the bank’s board of directors.
Katnic is taking over from Sonja Miladinovski, board president since 2012 who will stay on the board as a member, the bank said in a statement e-mailed to SeeNews.
Katnic served as finance minister from 2010 to 2012 and then was an adviser to the Montenegrin government on economic issues and finances until 2014, said the statement.
The decision was taken at a general shareholders' meeting held on November 26.
Societe Generale Banka Montenegro posted a net profit of 4.2 million euro ($5.2 million) in the first nine months of 2014, down from 6.2 million euro a year earlier, data from the country's central bank indicated.
The bank's total assets fell to 370.1 million euro at the end of September, from 374.3 million a year earlier.
