June 6 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG], said its shareholders approved the management's proposal to pay a gross dividend of 2.50 euro ($2.67) per share on 2022 earnings, it said on Tuesday.
Zavarovalnica Triglav's shareholders approved a dividend payout of 56.8 million euro, representing more than 50% of the net profit for 2022 and a 7% dividend yield, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
"We are pleased that after years marked by the effects of the pandemic we can once again implement the dividend policy as we have outlined it. This means that its implementation is sustainable in terms of growth, development and financial stability of the Triglav Group as well as attractive for our shareholders," CEO Andrej Slapar said.
The dividend will be paid to the shareholders appearing in the company's share register on June 20 and the ex-dividend date is June 19.
Zavarovalnica Triglav, which saw its consolidated net profit fall 2% to 110.2 million euro in 2022, paid a gross dividend of 3.70 euro per share for 2021.
