November 17 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG], said on Friday its consolidated net profit fell slightly to 52.3 million euro ($61.7 million) in the nine months through September, from 53.6 million euro a year earlier.
The group’s gross written premium from insurance, reinsurance and co-insurance contracts in the first nine months of 2017, however, rose 8.0% to 777.1 million euro, Triglav said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The group recorded premium growth in all three insurance segments. The non-life insurance premium and the life insurance premium increased by 8% and 3%, respectively, whilst health insurance saw an increase of 14%.
Triglav employed 5,095 at the end of September, up 1% from a year earlier.
