May 14 (SeeNews) - State-controlled Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] said its shareholders have upheld the counter proposal to increase the company's dividend payout from its distributable profit for 2017 to 14.30 euro ($17.1) per share from the planned 6.30 euro per share.
"The shareholders voted in favour of the proposal that the distributable profit in the amount of 93,028,335.40 euro or 14.30 euro gross per share shall be used for the payment of dividends, and the remainder in the amount of 22,338,089.72 euro shall be brought forward to the following year," Telekom Slovenije said in a filing to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Friday.
Dividend shall be distributed on July 10, 2018.
The proposal to distribute a higher dividend was submitted by Slovenia's state holding company SDH as owner of a 4.3% stake in Telekom Slovenije, and the state of Slovenia with a 62.5% stake, the telco said earlier.
