March 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's T-2 has launched a lawsuit against Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] over alleged abuse of market position, Telekom Slovenije said.
T-2 claims the payment of general damages in the amount of 12.2 million euro ($14.8 million), compensation for the loss of profit in the amount of 35.8 million euro and for non-existence of claims in the amount of 1.8 million euro plus interest, fees and charges, Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The claims filed with the Ljubljana District Court represent the damage that the plaintiff is said to have suffered in the period from September 1, 2018, to July 31, 2020, Telekom Slovenije said.
In September 2018, Telekom Slovenije reached a court settlement with T-2 following a lengthy legal battle over the payment of 129.6 million euro with interest and other charges for alleged abuse of market position.
In 2017, Slovenia's Supreme Court ruled in favour of T-2’s request for review filed against the decision of the Ljubljana Higher Court, which had rejected the proposal for retrial in the economic dispute with Telekom Slovenije for the payment of 129.6 million euro in damages. The Supreme Court reversed the decisions of the courts of the first and second instance, and sent the matter back to the court of first instance for retrial.
