March 8 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), SBITOP, closed higher on Tuesday amid lower turnover, bourse data showed.
SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, gained 0.35% to 703.41 points after adding 0.92% on Monday.
Five of the seven blue chips closed up on Tuesday, while two ended in red.
The total daily turnover on the bourse totaled 1.04 million euro ($1.15 million), down from 1.25 million euro in the previous trading session.
Reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Sava [LJE:POSR] was the top SBITOP advancer, adding 1.89% to 12.9 euro with 4,068 shares changing hands.
Fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] led the session's decliners, losing 0.18% to 271 euro with 67 shares sold.
Drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most traded company, generating a turnover of 434,430 euro with 7,056 shares sold.
