LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 9 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's statistical office said on Thursday that it is correcting the annual consumer price inflation figure for December to 1.8% from 1.9% reported last month.
Due to some mistakes in statistical data on consumer price indices for December 2019 published with the first release on 30 December, figures are published again, the statistical office said in a statement.
The statistical office has also corrected the figure for the year-on-year rise in prices of miscellaneous goods and services in December to 4.4%, from 4.7% reported on December 30.
On a monthly comparison basis, Slovenia's consumer prices fell 0.2% in December, the statistical office said, correcting the earlier reported figure for a 0.1% decrease.
Measured by the EU's harmonised index of consumer prices, Slovenia's annual inflation accelerated to 2.0% in December, from 1.4% in the same month of 2018.
Average annual inflation in Slovenia was 1.6% in 2019, compared to 1.7% in the prior year, the statistical office said.
