January 28 (SeeNews) - The operator of Slovenia’s Sostanj coal-fired power plant TES plans to shut the plant's 600 MW Unit 6 for planned maintenance on January 29, it said on Friday.
The maintenance will involve the control of the operation of the electrostatic precipitator and the unit will be shut over the weekend, the operator said in a statement.
The production of electricity and heat for the Saleska Valley from TES will not be interrupted and will be provided by Unit 5, the operator said.
State-controlled Holding Slovenske Elektrarne (HSE) is the sole owner of TES.
