March 17 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s state-owned SID Banka plans to launch a 50 million euro ($53 million) credit line to back local companies affected by the energy crisis, the government said.
SID Banka will provide the financing from unused funds under the three credit lines that are part of loan fund PS1, as the government will not contribute additional resources, it said in a statement on Thursday.
The lender will establish a fourth credit line as part of PS1 to support Slovenian companies amid the energy crisis, the government also said.
SID Banka is a promotional development and export bank that is fully owned by the Slovenian state. The bank acquires most funds through borrowing on the international financial markets and transmits them to the economy in repayable forms.
