March 21 (SeeNews) - The benchmark SBITOP index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed at a 19-month high on Monday, bourse data showed.
The SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, added 0.27% to 803.88 points, after ticking up 0.09% on Friday.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] led the blue-chip decliners on Monday, falling 2.58% to 185 euro ($198.9) in a trading turnover of 253,670 euro.
Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] was the top blue-chip gainer on Monday, rising 0.92% to 88 euro. The telecommunications operator generated a trading turnover of 75,880 euro.
The LJSE's total stock trading turnover fell to 2.39 million euro from 2.97 million euro on Friday, when more than half of turnover was generated by a single block transaction with Krka [LJE:KRKG] shares.
Insurer Triglav's [LJE:ZVTG] shares generated the largest turnover on Monday, of 455,560 euro, followed by household appliances producer Gorenje [LJE:GRVG] with 402,610 euro and fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] with 401,040 euro.
