LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 21 (SeeNews) – Shares of Sava Re [LJE:POSR] gained the most among the Slovenian blue chips on Wednesday after the reinsurer reported a jump in profit, bourse data showed.
Sava Re closed 2.00% higher at 15.3 euro on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE).
The company said on Wednesday its consolidated net profit rose 39.2% year-on-year to 29.1 million euro ($33.2 million) in the first nine months of 2018.
Shares of chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] fell the most among the blue chips on the LJSE, erasing their gains recorded in the previous session, according to LJSE data.
Cinkarna Celje closed 8.73% lower at 209.0 euro in a trading volume of 884 units on Wednesday. In Tuesday's session, it led the blue-chip gainers, closing 1.78% higher at 229.0 euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, fell 0.42% to 811.39 points.
Total trading turnover on the LJSE dropped to 1.1 million euro ($1.3 million) on Wednesday from 10.86 million euro on Tuesday.
Trade in shares of energy company Petrol [LJE:PETG] generated the day's largest turnover, of 644,060 euro.
