January 10 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceutical products wholesaler Salus [LJE:SALR] signed an agreement to acquire a 75% stake in medical equipment and technology supplier Medicoengineering, it said.
Salus will pay 2.72 million euro ($3.08 million) for the stake, plus a variable sum that will not exceed 1.391 million euro and will depend on the operations of Medicoengineering in the next two business years, Salus said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Friday.

The agreement includes an option to purchase the remaining 25% of Medicoengineering, linked to the company's performance in the coming years, Salus said.
The transaction is awaiting regulatory approval.
Ljubljana-based Salus is one of Slovenia's leading wholesalers of pharmaceutical and medical products.
