August 10 (SeeNews) - Slovenian brewer Pivovarna Lasko Union (PLU) has increased its net profit by 20% to 24.4 million euro ($28.8 million) in 2019, local media reported on Monday.
PLU's revenue rose 2.2% to 156.5 million euro last year, thanks to higher domestic sales, state news agency STA reported, citing company data.
Sales in Slovenia edged up by 0.5% last year, STA said, without providing a precise figure.
It added that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, PLU has adjusted its production and investment plans this year.
According to the latest available company data, exports contributed 26% of PLU's total net sales in 2018, up from 22% in 2017.
The Slovenian company is 100%-owned by Dutch brewer Heineken.
