May 19 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy company Petrol's [LJE:PETG] shareholders have approved the payment of a gross dividend of 1.5 euro per share on August 4, down from 30 euro paid for the previous year, it said.
The shareholders approved a dividend payout of 61.7 million euro from the profit for appropriation at their general meeting on May 18, Petrol said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The remaining part of the profit for appropriation in the amount of 180,600 euro and any amounts which may result from the number of own shares on the record date and from rounding off the dividend payment figures, will be transferred to other profit reserves, Petrol said.
Petrol turned to a net loss of 2.7 million euro in 2022 from a 124.5 million euro net profit in the previous year due to the energy price regulation which negatively affected business performance.
