May 20 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy group Petrol [LJE:PETG] reported a 17% year-on-year increase in net profit to 32.4 million euro ($34.2 million) in the first quarter of 2022, backed by the integration of Crodux derivati dva into the company, it said.
The Petrol Group sales revenue grew 12% on the year to 1.937 billion euro in January-March due to 41% higher sales of fuels and fuel products to a total of 906,400 tonnes, it said in a bourse filing.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by an annual 21% to 65.6 million euro in the first three months of 2022, the company said.
Some 47% of the EBITDA was generated by energy solutions, 37% came from fuels and fuel products, 13% came from the sale of merchandise and services, and 3% by other revenue.
The energy group booked an adjusted gross profit of 162.2 million euro in the three-month period, up 18% from a year earlier.
At the end of March, Petrol operated 593 service stations, including 318 in Slovenia, 202 in Croatia, 42 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 16 in Serbia and 15 in Montenegro.
Petrol's shares traded at up 2.0% at 510 euro by 09:28 CET on Friday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, after closing down 2.34% at 500 euro on Thursday.
