August 30 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy company Petrol [LJE:PETG] said on Friday its consolidated net profit rose 6.0% on the year to 24.4 million euro ($32.5 million) in the first half of 2013.
Consolidated sales increased 7.0% on the year to 1.9 billion euro through June while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) edged up 1.0% to 58.3 million euro, Petrol said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
Petrol Group boosted sales of oil products by 13% on the year to 1.3 million tonnes through June, while sales of natural gas were up 8.0% to 72.8 million cubic meters.
Consolidated sales of liquefied petroleum gas increased 4.0% on the year to 33,000 tonnes through June while sales of electricity jumped 95% to 2.2 terawatt-hours.
At the end of June, Petrol Group operated 469 service stations, including 316 in Slovenia, 95 in Croatia, 37 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, eight in Serbia, six in Montenegro and seven in Kosovo.
