June 20 (SeeNews) - Outgoing traffic from mobile telephony networks in Slovenia decreased by 5.9% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022 to 1.4 billion minutes, the country’s statistical office said on Monday.
There were some 2.613 million mobile network users in the country at the end of March, up by 2.3% compared to a year earlier, and 0.2% higher compared to the end of December, the office said in a statement.
In the first quarter, the outgoing voice traffic from fixed networks, including national and international outgoing fixed traffic, decreased by 18.2% to some 81.1 million minutes.
At the end of March, there were 674,764 broadband internet connections, up by 2.5% on the year and 0.5% higher compared to end-December.
A total of 577,028 SMS-messages were sent in the first quarter, up 6.7% on the year.
Slovenia has a population of 2.1 million.
