January 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant Krsko produced 519,582 MWh of electricity net in December, 0.9% above plan, the plant operator said.
Gross electricity output totalled 545,838 MWh in December, Krsko said in a statement posted on its website.
A total of 11.9 cubic metres of low and intermediate-level radioactive waste was stored in December, Krsko said.
Krsko NPP, located in Slovenia near the border with Croatia, generates some 40% of Slovenia's electricity output. It operates a Westinghouse pressurised light water reactor of 2,000 MW thermal power capacity.
