LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 3 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s second-largest bank by assets, Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM), said on Monday its parent net profit for the first nine months of 2007 rose to 41.349 million euro ($60.5 million) from 21.51 million euro a year earlier.
Parent assets rose to 3.905 billion euro at the end of September from 3.359 billion euro a year ago, NKBM said in a statement.
Last week Slovenia completed an initial public offering (IPO) of NKBM and the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) said it plans to start trading in NKBM shares on December 6. The IPO of NKBM, the LJSE’s first in eight years, is expected to attract investors hungry for new listings and stimulate the stagnating bourse, analysts have said.
