October 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production increased 5% month-on-month to 1,365 GWh in September, while total electricity consumption rose 1% to 1,152 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Hydropower plants generation increased by 57%, that of thermal power plants fell by 26%, while the production of the country's sole nuclear power plant stayed largely unchanged on the month, the statistical office said, citing provisional data.

In line with the lower production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in September shrank 25% month-on-month.
In September, 640 GWh of electricity was imported and 831 GWh was exported.
