November 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production increased by 4% month-on-month to 1,317 GWh in October, while total electricity consumption grew at the same rate to 1,204 GWh, the country's statistical office said.
The output of hydro power plants decreased by 17%, the output of thermal power plants increased by 26%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, rose by 3% relative to September, the statistical agency said on Monday citing provisional data.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in October 2018 also increased by 22%.
In October 2018, Slovenia imported 732 GWh of electricity and exported 811 GWh.
