August 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production increased by 6% month-on-month to 1,258 GWh in July, while total electricity consumption rose 1% to 1,184 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The output of hydro power plants decreased by 33%, the output of thermal power plants jumped by 146%, while that of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, edged up 1% compared to June, the statistic agency said citing provisional data.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in July 2018 also increased by 96%.
In July 2018, 759 GWh of electricity was imported and 808 GWh was exported.
