LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), June 26 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production increased by 16% month-on-month to 1,400 GWh in May, while total electricity consumption rose by 2% to 1,179 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The output of hydro power plants increased by 36%, the output of thermal power plants rose by 10%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, grew by 3% as compared to the April level, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.
In line with the higher production at the thermal power plants, fuel consumption increased by 6%.
In May, Slovenia imported 721 GWh of electricity and exported 912 GWh.
