LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 4% month-on-month to 1,156 GWh in March, while total electricity consumption rose by 6% to 1,238 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
The output of hydro power plants decreased by 16%, the output of thermal power plants fell by 13%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, increased by 11% as compared to February, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.
In line with the lower production in the thermal power plants, fuel consumption in March decreased by 16%.
In March, Slovenia imported 897 GWh of electricity and exported 814 GWh.
