LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 20% month-on-month to 820 GWh in October, while total electricity consumption rose by 14% to 1,199 GWh, the statistical office said on Monday.
The October output of the country's hydro power plants increased by 14%, the output of the thermal power plants rose by 81%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, shrank by 96% as compared to September due to a regular overhaul, the office of statistics said in a statement, citing provisional data.
In line with the bigger production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in October also increased by 77%.
In October, Slovenia imported 909 GWh of electricity and exported 498 GWh, the statistical office said without providing monthly comparison figures.
