September 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production decreased 1% month-on-month to 1,298 GWh in August, while total electricity consumption dropped by 2% to 1,136 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
Hydro power plants generation increased by 3%, generation in the thermal power plants decreased by 2% and Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant decreased its output by 1%, the statistical office said, citing provisional data.

In line with the lower production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in August also decreased by 1%.
In August, 721 GWh of electricity was imported and 853 GWh was exported.
