March 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production decreased 9% month-on-month to 1,230 GWh in February, while total electricity consumption fell 5% to 1,241 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The output of the hydro power plants declined by 34%, thermal power plants generated 16% more and the production of nuclear power plant Krsko fell 10%, the statistical office said, citing provisional data.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in February also increased, by 19%.
In February, Slovenia imported 757 GWh of electricity and exported 746 GWh.
