September 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 1% month-on-month to 1,248 GWh in August, while total electricity consumption fell 3% to 1,145 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The output of hydro power plants decreased by 15%, the output of thermal power plants jumped by 11%, while that of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, remained unchanged compared to July, the statistic agency said citing provisional data.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in August 2018 also increased by 16%.
In August, 536 GWh of electricity was imported and 611 GWh was exported.
