LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), July 27 (SeeNews) – Slovenian retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] will cover its net loss of 55.4 million euro ($65.3 million) for 2020 with its 16.3 retained profit from earlier years and a capital decrease of 36 million euro, the company said.
Mercator's capital will be reduced from 254.175 million euro to 218.175 million euro, as the capital decrease will become effective as of the day it is filed in the court register, the company said in a filing to the Ljubljana bourse late on Monday, following a shareholders' meeting.
Croatia's Fortenova Group, successor to the collapsed food-to-retail concern Agrokor, is the largest shareholder of Mercator with some 89%.
Mercator's shares last traded on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on July 23, ending at 37 euro, unchanged from the previous closing price.
