LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 13 (SeeNews) – Slovenian retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] targets a consolidated EBITDA of 110 million euro ($122.5 million) next year on a revenue of 2.3 billion euro.
In 2020, Mercator Group's investments are planned to amount to 44 million euro, of which nearly 57% will be allocated to projects in Slovenia, Mercator said in a Ljubljana bourse filing on Wednesday.
In 2020, Mercator will enter a new investment cycle in which the most important investments will be made in the new logistics and distribution centre in Ljubljana, expected to be completed by the end of 2021, and logistics capacities and network expansion in Serbia, the company said, adding that the facility in Ljubljana represents the largest investment in Mercator's history.
“One of the key characteristics of operations and performance in 2020 will be growth of costs, especially labour force costs,” the retailer noted.
Mercator also said it plans to open 28 new stores and refurbish 65 existing ones in all markets of operation next year.
