December 6 (SeeNews) - Slovenian retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] said the group's parent company Poslovni sistem Mercator has issued 20 million euro ($21.6 million) in one-year commercial paper to manage the maturity of assets and liabilities and diversify the base of debt financing sources.
The commercial paper, which carries an annual coupon of 1.40%, attracted strong investor interest with the target amount being 75% oversubscribed, Mercator said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse on Monday.
The securities will be listed on the regulated market of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The papers will mature on December 4, 2017.
The Mercator Group is one of the largest corporate groups in Slovenia, as well as the entire region of South-eastern Europe. The controlling company of the group is Poslovni sistem Mercator, d.d., based in Slovenia.
