February 7 (SeeNews) - The shareholders of Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] approved a proposal by the Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH) for the replacement of four members of the supervisory board, the port operator said.
Luka Koper's shareholders gave the go-ahead to the appointment of Borut Skabar, Barbara Nose, Jozef Petrovic, Bostjan Rader and Mirko Bandelj as supervisory board members, a document posted by the port operator on the website of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Monday showed.
The new board members will replace Franci Matoz, Nevenka Cresnar Pergar, Andrej Koprivec and Bozidar Godnjavec, who were appointed during the government of former prime minister Janez Jansa.
Last month, Luka Koper said it proposed the appointment of Bandelj, Petrovic, Nose and Rader as representatives of the Slovenian state, and Skabar as representative of municipalities in which Koper port is located.
Luka Koper is majority-owned by the Slovenian state which holds a 51% stake in the port operator. SSH controls 11.13% of the capital of Luka Koper and Kapitalska druzba owns 4.98%. The fourth largest owner is Koper municipality with a 3.14% share. SSH, established in 2014, is in charge of the management of the state ownership in about 50 companies, including Luka Koper.
The supervisory board of Luka Koper has eight members, with five representatives of shareholders and three of employees.
