November 7 (SeeNews) - Slovenian blue-chip port operator Luka Koper on Wednesday reported a 41% annual rise in parent net profit for the first nine months of the year to 19.3 million euro ($28 million).
Parent operating profiit through September rose by 19% year-on-year to 16.7 million euro, Luka Koper said in a statement. It generated 82 million euro in operating revenue, up 13% year-on-year.
The company reported 11.2 million tonnes of cargo throughput in the first nine months of 2007, up 8.0% from a year eariler. "The most auspicious results were achieved as regards container freight and vehicles, which respectively recorded 44 and 28% increases compared to last year," the statement said.
Luka Koper's shares lost 0.73% to an average price of 94.67 euro in morning trade on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
