LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 27 (SeeNews) – Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said its nine-month consolidated net profit increased 22% year-on-year to 48.6 million euro ($55.1 million).
The group's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by an annual 22% to 78.8 million euro in the January-September period, Luka Koper said in a bourse filing late on Monday.
Net revenue from sales went up 6% to 168.2 million euro, while investments totalled 9.5 million euro in the first nine months of 2018, compared to 32.5 million euro in the like period a year earlier.
Maritime throughput totalled 17.7 million tonnes, up 1% from the same period last year, while container throughput expanded to 742,000 TEUs, up 8% year-on-year.
In January – September 2018, the throughput of cars amounted to 570,000 units, 9% ahead on the comparable period in 2017.
