LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), July 10 (SeeNews) – Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said on Wednesday its maritime throughput totalled 11.9 million tones in the first half of 2019, down 1% year-on-year.
Container throughput grew to 497,891 TEUs, up 2% year-on-year, Luka Koper said in a bourse filing.
During the January – June period, the throughput of cars fell to 341.990 units, from 408.855 units on the same period in 2018.
“As expected, we registered a decrease of volumes on the car segment, mostly because of the global slow-down of sales of new cars,” Luka Koper said.
Net revenue from sales went up 6% to 118.0 million euro ($132.3 million), according to incomplete and non-audited data published by the port operator.
