LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 30 (SeeNews) – Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said its first-half consolidated net profit went up 2% on the year to 15.4 million euro ($18.2 million).
Consolidated sales revenue went up 7% on the year to 114.7 million euro in January-June due to higher volume of maritime throughput, Luka Koper said in a statement with the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose 3% to 17.7 million euro in the period under review, while the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up 4% to 32.4 million euro.
Luka Koper handled 10.4 million tonnes of cargo in January-June, up 2% on the year, with the most pronounced annual rise, of 25% to 541,030 tonnes, registered in the car segment. An overall 5.1 million tonnes of container cargo was processed in the period under review, up 7% on the year.
Luka Koper's shares closed flat at 26.0 euro on the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
