LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 19 (SeeNews) – Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said on Wednesday that it plans to book a net operating profit of 38.3 million euro ($43.5 million) next year, down 33% relative to the 2018 estimate.
The maritime throughput in 2019 is planned in the amount of 24.7 million tonnes, which is 3% ahead on the throughput achieved in 2018, Luka Koper said in a bourse filing, after adopting its 2018-2019 business plan.
The company will strive to increase throughput and net revenue from sales next year but higher costs resulting from the implementation of the port's services providers strategy and expected costs of tax on throughput will have a significant impact on the financial indicators, the port operator added.
Net revenue from sales is planned to increase to 238 million euro, up 8% over 2018.
The group’s EBITDA is forecast at 73 million euro in 2019, down by 24% year-on-year, whereas the return on equity (ROE) is planned at 9.6%, which is 5.7 percentage point below the estimated figure for 2018.
In 2019, expenditure on property, plant and equipment, investment property and intangible assets of Luka Koper group are planned in the amount of 72 million euro, up 55 million euro on 2018.
